PlyEdit: H - Hiding
From Headus Docs
Many operations, such as voiding or smoothing, only work on visible faces. There are a hand-full of hiding operations, all accessed via the <H> key.
Figure 1 shows you what you get once you have hit the <H> key. Hiding Inside a Box - <LMB>If you draw out a box with the <LMB>, then all faces inside this box will be hidden (see left side Figure 2). Hiding Outsdie a Box - <RMB>If, however, you draw out a box with the <RMB>, then all faces outside the box are hidden (see right side Figure 2). Hiding Marked Faces - <G>You can hide all the marked faces by typing <H><G> (see Figure 3). Hiding Using Filling - <F> keyTyping <H><F> is a shortcut version of the surface hiding sequence <G><F> <H><G>. Because it uses the marking mechanism to select the faces, any faces that happen to be already marked will also be hidden. Swapping Hidden Faces - <S> keyType <H><S> to swap the visible and hidden faces. Showing Hidden Faces - <U> keyType <H><U> to unhide all hidden faces. Zoom In On Visible Faces - <Home> keyYou can zoom in on the remaining visible faces by aiming the mouse pointer at some background then type the <Home> key. If you aim the pointer at a piece of mesh, then <Home> will focus in on that area. |
