Hello,my teacher told me to try UVlayout demo because this tool is very powerful but there is some bugs with it.

I can't select edges with the C command. Can't click any edge, and can't send uv to the uv editor.

Please help me ! I tried it on my laptop and it works fine... ( I'm on win7 32 and i'm using de v 2.06.03)

Someone else reported the same problem a few weeks ago, and in that case it looked like the display driver was the cause. Try what I've suggested here ...

Hello Phil, so I tried to update my graphic driver but nothing changed.
So I tried some other things and I found that UVlayout doesn't like Anti Aliasing in super sample mode...
So I have to put it in adaptive mode or desactivate it.

Problem Solved !

Excellent debugging!

What graphics card do you have?

Interesting! The other user experiencing the same "C not working" problem has a Radeon 5850.

I have this problem too. I find just moving the window around abit seems to fix it for some reason. I also have a 5850.

I had this bug as well but tried what Boozebeard said about moving the window around and I can now use the 'C' key to cut edges. However, I have another bug that I cannot seem to figure out...

After I drop all my pieces of mesh to the UV view and get them configured as I want them, uvlayout crashes if I even touch the small tools window and, for example, try to hit the 'Auto Fit' button.

I have updated my graphic drivers and tried turning off the hardware acceleration as mentioned by the admin here and nothing seems to help. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled several times.

I want to purchase this software but need to get this figured out.

Any thoughts or suggestions I can try?

Its sounds a lot like the problem discussed here ...

http://www.headus.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=920

I've just tested the latest Demo on a couple of different systems here (win7 and XP, 32 and 64bit) and everythings working fine. But monitor that posting for a solution sometime soon hopefully.

Yes that is exactly the issue I am having. After trying it many more times, I just let it do it's thing and about half the time it would "unfreeze" after a minute or so but other times I had to end the program with the task manager.

This is the second demo install I've used since learning of your software. The first demo license I ran did not have this problem and ran beautifully but this latest is giving me troubles. I fully intend on buying it but was waiting to get in more practice while learning it's full capabilities so I can decide which version best suits my needs.

Any thoughts on what might have changed between the latest demo and the one previous that might have caused things to hang after taking focus from the main uvlayout window?

"Any thoughts on what might have changed"

Hmmm, actually, you might be on to something there. The latest demo was built after I started work on the multiple viewports code, so it is possible that something I did there has broken the demo. The official 2.06.03 releases of the Pro and Hobbyist version were built before the work on the multiple viewports and I haven't had any reports of lock-ups from those.

I'm following a hunch ... will hopefully have some more news later today or tomorrow.

Yes! I can duplicate the problem here now, and think I know whats causing it. I hope to have a fixed demo version ready by this time tomorrow.
