what is shift \ ? It brings up a blue arrow pointing up.
Also is there a way to rotate a shell or multiple shells that are within a box?
One other thing that had me puzzled, how do I unhide all hidden polys?
Nothing on the hide menu work for me. Had to start again. |

"what is shift \ ? It brings up a blue arrow pointing up."
It stops those shells from being rotated if you have "Rotate" turned on in the Pack tool.
"Also is there a way to rotate a shell or multiple shells that are within a box?"
Yes, sort of ... you have to put them into their own sub-box though.
"how do I unhide all hidden polys?"
H-U should be doing it.

yeah I have tried that but its a bit fiddly, if there was a hot hey to assign a box to selected shells it would make it easier. If there is only a few I drag them out of the box, rotate the put back in the box.
I was thinking ctrl or shift-\ could be assigned to rotate a shell within a box..
What do you think?

" ctrl or shift-\ could be assigned to rotate a shell within a box.."
OK, that should be easy enough. Shift-\ is taken (that's the "|" to lock shell orientations), but Ctrl-\ is free.
