Hi, I'm using the demo of uvlayout and so far this tool is HOT! However.... I work in cinema 4d R10 and exported a model that has 2698 polys to obj. I setup the uvs in layout and export back to obj. By the time I open it in cinema, it's now over 10 thousand polys.... I'm using skin props obj exporter plugin. Is there something I can do in either app. to maintain the original poly count?

UVLayout doesn't modify the geometry, so I'd say it was the OBJ export/import stage in Cinema 4d that's doing the damage. Check any options you have in the export/import plugin; maybe you have something ticked that's duplicating or subdividing faces?
