Hi I came across this tool as it was mentioned in a book to make unwrapping a lot easier. However the book is very light on detail when it comes to using the UV's you have created using this program in max. As you might have guessed I am very new to max. I have modelled half a character in max(so it can be mirrored) I then exported the half model as an wavefront object and opened it in UVlayout. Now that all the flattening is done I am not sure how to use all this stuff back in max...
The only thing I thought I could do was apply a unwrapUVW modifier to the model and select 'load' and then bring back the saved wavefront object, but this doesn't work. sorry for such a basic question, hope you can help |

Sorry, I know nothing about Max, but you might want to take a look at the plugin ...

It handles the transfer of objects between UVLayout and Max for you.
