I am running out of USB posrts what with usb mice, keyboards, tablets, external drives , other dongals etc etc etc....
is there a way to have the dongal attached to one of the servers and connect the uv layout software to it though the lan? |

Yes, but you'd need to upgrade to a floating license. The dongle (and some software) would sit on the server, then anyone on the LAN (as long as its one at a time) could use that license.
Or you could just get yourself a USB hub. These take up one USB port but usually give you four more free ports. Some need external power, but others will happily run off the USB port itself.

USB hub worked fine.. AND i do not have to "trust" my dongel into the server room.
