Hello.
I'm trying to save unwrapped .obj file from UVLayout 1.17.1 but when I import file in 3ds max - I got no UV's. It worked for sure in previous versions. Something has changed?
Maybe something is wrong with my model, but anyway, UVLayout fails on export to .obj not on unwrapping.
Thanks. |

Thanks for the UVL file ... there's a dozen or so unflattened polys in there, so maybe the partial UVs (ie not all polys have UVs) in the exported OBJ is causing problems in the 3ds importer? Under UVLayout Preferences, try ticking the "No Unset UVs on Save" option. If that doesn't help, send me the OBJ and I'll take a look at that.

Yes, something has broken in .obj file between export from 3ds max and import to UVLayout. Mesh is pretty normal in 3ds max
I have used Save Morph Targets to OBJs to get UV's from UVLayout.
I will try your advice next time if I'll have similar problem.
Thanks. |

Ahhh, OK, "Save Morph Targets" only saves out flattened polys, so I'm pretty confident its the partial UVs thing I already mentioned. I'll make that preference setting the default, because this seems to be catching a lot of people out.
