|

When cutting up a model, the tool is great at guessing which edges to cut. Sometimes, however, I would rather not have the tool guess which edges to select because I know it will choose the wrong ones for one reason or another.
I'd really like the ability to press a do a SHIFT-C or something like that and have the tool only select a single edge for cutting and not select a range of edges. Right now, I make a cut, and then have to often backspace away some wrong edges which is more time consuming. Again, I generally like that the program does this but sometimes I just want to calm it down and just cut the specific edges I select.
Thanks.

There isn't a hot key for it, but back over in the GIU window you can switch the
"Edge Extend" setting to "0", then it'll only tag the edge you select. You can then,
if you want, hold down the 'c' key and move the mouse pointer over the edges
you want to select; you dont have to keep hitting the "c" key to select multiple edges.
