I just added both of these to my jobs list ... point grid snap and the shell hide.
Next week I should be able to do those, along with a bunch of other small things.

wow...excellent! Grid snapping should boost abilities in non-organic mapping
considerably.
thanks, Phil!

Temp/restore directory set not functioning :
a) In the headus tools/common preferences window,Only one directory can be set (either temp or restore). The directory setting only lasts while the program is open. When the program is reopened, it returns to the default state ( common preferences/ "???" ).
b) Temp files are not saved to this directory, but are stored in the "data"folder where the program is installed. |

When you type in the temp or restore folder name, hit Enter to set it. It then
checks that the folder exists, and sets the name back to ??? if it doesnt.

got a question for you Phil...with the stack tool, is there any logic towards which
shell goes on top of the other? If there isn't, maybe we could have one such as
"the top shell on the stack is the shell that got moved, the shell underneath is
the 'parent' shell". Or maybe first selected is bottom or something like that?
I'm working on yer basic palm tree model and it requires polygons that basically
sit on top of each other for top and bottom of the fronds (game engine doesn't
accept double-sided textures yet ). So once I've got my shells layed out nicely,
I want to stack their "partners" into place above/below them...but I've just tried it
with 1 set of frond shells and every time I'd try to line 1 up where I wanted it and
then stack the other, the wrong one would move (doh). Anyhow, here's a screenie
for illustration.
Hope this is easy to standardize, or maybe I'm just not selecting properly?
cheers.

Yes, actually there is :-) Selection order isnt used ... its their current positions thats the key. When you click on "Stack", the tagged shell that has the lowest UVcoords is used as the location and orientation for the others. In your example, you should move all your unstacked fronds up and to the right so that the nicely lined up ones are towards the bottom left hand corner of the bounding box of all pieces.

Its also possible I forgot to mention it in that video :-) By the way, I'm about to
splash out and buy a noise-cancelling microphone, so will begin to record
more logically structured videos for you paying customers, each one explaining
some feature of the current version.

Found a bug in the 1.12.2 version. Open about UVLayout and click manual. It gives me an error stating windows cannot find C:/Program..
So basically it doesnt load the html page in the www folder. |

Oops ... thanks for the report! I changed how I opened html pages for the
"Check For Updates" button, but obvious broke it for some systems. I'll
fix that ASAP.

All fixed! "View User Guide" now works again, plus I made a couple of other
small bug fixes. You can grab v1.12.3 from the usual spot.
