Hello All,

UVLayout v2025.02 is now available for all users from ...

http://www.uvlayout.com/update

New tools added in this version:

- A Hotkey : Pick points, edges and edge loops for move, scale and
rotate actions. A demo video is here https://youtu.be/xKozckKEKtA

- Ctrl-U/V Hotkeys : Toggle the locking of Space-MMB moves of
points or shells in either the U or V direction.

- Display Speed Boost : Redraw speeds are now faster, especially for
denser meshes where framerates can be as much as 10 times higher.

- Picking Speed Boost : Picking speeds (e.g. tagging edges for
cuts) are now faster, and again this is particularly better than
the old code for denser meshes.

- Sort by Minimum Width : Primarily useful for pattern making
projects, this rotates and sorts each piece according to its
minimum width. This can be used, for example, to check that pieces
fit onto a print roll.

Changes to existing tools:

- Display Wireframe : Added a faster edge fading alternative,
plus the option to turn off the wireframe drawing entirely.

- Edit G/H select : Added an alternative editable polygon mode
for the G, H and A hotkey LMB selections. This is enabled under
the Edit Preferences.

- Snap to Edges : Added the option to snap vertexes to polygon
edges when they are being moved about.

- Snap Rotations : Added the option to snap Space-LMB rotations
to fixed angle steps.

- Move/Scale/Rotate : Adjusted the panel layout so values with
more numbers are seen in their entirety.

- Move/Scale/Rotate : Added options for setting the pivot at the
mouse pointer or any pinned points in the selection.

- Space-LMB Rotate : When in the UV view, the mouse pointer position
relative to the pivot now directly controls the rotation angle.

- Shift-MMB Move : Moving UV points with the brush is now more
controllable.

- D Hotkey : When in the Ed view, if you use the LMB box to select
multiple pieces to drop, this will now also separate any pieces
marked by cut edges.

- Shift-End Hotkey : Focus view onto UV shells in the next tile
to the right.

- Display Trace : Faster loading of larger maps.

- OBJ Load : Any selected OBJ import settings are now reset to
their defaults for each new file.

- GUI Panels : Tweaked the coloring to make it more obvious where
an open panel ends.

Bugs fixed:

- Hotkey double taps : C/W/S/P/G double taps were not working 100%
of the time on denser meshes.

- Pack Show Coverage : The coverage values for tiles were offset
if shells were hidden to the left or below.

- Copy UVs : Fixed a random fatal error.
