|
|
Hello all.
i recently updated UV layout from 2.08 to the latest and switched from Maya 2013 to Maya 2016. I installed the plugin as described, i can send and receive models between maya and UVlayout.
But once i group two objects in Maya, then select them and send to UVLayout im not able to import them back to Maya due some groups problems.
Ungrouping objects before sending is very painful.
Any info on this issue? |

We've fixed this one already, but its currently only available as a beta download. We anticipate doing the general release next week sometime, but if you want to get in early ...
Login to your uvlayout.com account and go to the Support Extras page. If you've got a Pro license, there's installers for Windows, OS X and Linux, otherwise its just a Windows installer currently for Hobbyist users.

thank you for your reply.
If i will download it now, will it be the same version as you will release next week?
Otherwise i can wait for new version. I already UVd the asset without hierarchy. |

I might make some tweaks before the release, so if you dont need the fix right away, waiting would save you a second download/install cycle.

The beta release with the fix is available from your uvlayout.com Support Extras page.

I dont have access to it. i would have to ask the IT guy for downloading it, and unfortunately he has more important work to do, then installing beta versions in production pipeline.
once there will be final version i will update.
thank you for your hard work.

OK, sorry for the delay ... I was conferencing last week, so didn't want to release it just before disappearing in case emergency fixes were needed. I'm aiming to get it out later this week.
