First time to read this thread, It looks '90s because it is 90s and works!
however
UVL is awesome in functionality, would like to see a GUI update. |

Thanks for the feedback :) I do know that a more modern looking GUI would probably get more users on-board, but I'm looking at my "to do" list and there's still plenty on there that will be more useful than cosmetics.

Exactly on point. The UI looks like is was ported from Amiga and left unchanged since then. It's just pain for eyes to see the menu.
And this is also correct, what putting some effort into updating the UI (element design/style + layout) will bring more people to use this product. Just by checking screenshots (and website) I though... oh, it's an old software, probably been abandoned and haven't been updated for a decade, and closed the tab. Reading here I see what it's fine update-wise, but you are just scaring people off |

A new GUI will be happening at some point, but we've still got some big things we want to do before starting on that effort. Being able to work on more than one UV set/channel is one, a redo is another, and possibly support for huge models (i.e. hundreds of thousands of polys).
Yes, maybe people are being put off by the plain wrapping, but those that open the box get a much better toy at the end of the day :)
