|
|
Hello Phil,
I probably found a bug: Using the 'Fit To Sqr' button doesn't work when there are boxes. Only the shells within the box(es) in the current tile are scaled. If there are no boxes, it works as expected but the I lose the ability to pack certain shells together (in this particular case, I would like to pack the nails in the same tile as the arms and hands, but would like to use boxes for the nails to avoid them to be scattered all over the tile... hope that makes sense somehow).
Also if there's a box containing all of the shells of a certain tile, another weird thing happen: all of the shells are scaled to fit the tile and they all are stacked.
Forgot to show it in the video, but I'm using Pro version 2.08.01g (newest one in my Extras section).
Here's a little video showing the different results: http://www.screencast.com/t/HxMpnZGHs1

Thanks for the bug report! I hope to spend some time on UVLayout next week (cleaning up loose ends before the "official" release of the beta you're using) so I'll fix this while I'm at it.

Any news on this one Phil? It's pretty hard to use 'Fit To Sqr' without boxes, at least in my case. It's a very useful tool, but without the posibility of use it in conjunction with boxes, is almost useless (again, at least for me).
Thanks in advance for any comment,
Orlando. |

Sorry, things didn't go to plan, so there has been no action on this front. I've bumped it to the top of the list now though, and am probably half way thru fixing it. Basically the problem is that I only ever programmed it to handle shells or boxes, not shells *and* boxes.

So this one is fixed now I think. It'll do the Fit To Sqr thing properly for a mixture of shells and boxes in each tile, and single box fits are no longer broken as well.
You can get the new Windows installer from your uvlayout.com Support Extras page.

Phil, just wanted to say thank you very very much, it's working perfectly!
Found another bug though, but that will be a different topic |
