Just wanted to say thank you, I admit I got off to a very slow start with this because I am not very 'mouse' friendly. But the tutorials (especially love that Key stroke tracking dislpay) I will definately be making a purchase!
Wonder if the final product is likely to be more compatible with Intuos tablets/stylos?
that and an undo option would really make this perfect for me!
THanks again!

Well, an Undo is right at the top of the list ... so hopefully its going
to be ready in a few weeks or so.
As far as tablet support goes, what sort of things arent working when
you use one? I dont have one here, but know at least one of our
cyslice customers is using one, and uvlayout shares a lot of its
underlying graphics code with cyslice ...

Not a huge problem, but since my stylus doen't have a "MMB" I am not able to use it and I have serious dexterity issues when it comes to using a mouse. Not your problem, mine. |

Do it have a "right" mouse button ... ie, 2 buttons? If you open up the
Preferences panel (click on "About UVLayout") you can force it into
"2 button" mode , which maps the MMB to the RMB ... it might work.

in the control panel > wacom tablet u can setup one of the 2 buttons to be MMB
u could add it to the application customized tool settings so it's only with uvlayout |

What 'normal' said. All Wacom tablets since about 1840 have three buttons. tip down, top of side button and bottom of side button. By default one of the buttons on the stylus is a double-click. Just change that and you can use your tablet for everything. I use it for May, max, Photoshop, everything. |

Add me as one that would love for there to be tablet support in UVLayout!
I've tried it in both the 3-button (with one of my pen's button set as a MMB) and the 2-button modes, but I still can't use MMB functions with the pen. |

Im experiencing the same problem as westonmi, ive tried both 2 and 3 button modes with no joy.
I tried remapping my pen for this app with every possable combo, but no luck.
I know us wacom 3d peops are in the minority, but a workaround would be nice.
Thx

I would like to chime in on the "Wacom pen tablet for mac " theme ...
Gimp just added support for pen tabletin X11/Macs. Must be an updated version of X11 (2.3.2 or later, provided by the XQuartz Project).
I would be very happy if this feature would make it into Inkscape - I can only hope that the effort to XQuartz & GIMP developers released it will be a help for us Inkscape Coders. |
