Sorry, it looks like UVLayout just doesn't like your system! I dont think these will make any difference, but its worth trying ...

Just launch from the icon, then click Load ... dont use drag'n'drop.

Also trying renaming your OBJ file so it doesn't have a space in it. Again, files with spaces in them would normally work, but I'm clutching at straws now.

I know the feeling Phil... can't think what's wrong.. but there is one thing I would like to try... I'm going to delete everything again and download through Firefox.. just incase it something to do with the server. If it doesn't work.. or either way.. I'll let you know.
Maybe someone out there with a mac. might have some ideas.. *sigh*

O.K. Phil... that didn't work.. now it just crashes as soon as it open.

The only other thing I can think of is.... I may have to buy myself a cheap PC...

I know this computer is suppose to be able to use 'windows' too, but I've never tried it.. and it's probably better to keep the two separate any way... I've heard that it makes the computer run slow.

anyway... I'll give it some thought and get back to you in a few days.

Thanks for all your help.. and if someone comes up with a plan... let me know. Smile

We might still be able to debug the problem on your Mac. I've sent you a PM with further instructions.

Hummm... re-downloaded the program again..
Clicked on the icon from applications
Small 'About UVLayout ' came up and X11.. of cause
Clicked on the 'About UVLayout' and the larger page ..UVLayout + Flatten 3D meshes to create UVs.. etc...
Clicked on the 'Run Licensing GUI'....... and everything clashed. Sad

I have a page that has....
X11 quit unexpectedly.... with all the details.
How do I get this to you or do you get it automatically??

I've taken 9 1/2 'snapshots if you need me to send it to you.
Wink

Sorry, I got my own email address wrong ... you'll probably get a bounce! See above for corrected address.
