there was some glitch, and the panes where you can control the app just disappeared and i wasn't able to get them back. i was searching through the manual for a hot key to save my work, but i was unable to find one, so i lost my work.
is there a hot key to save?
also, not sure why the panel/ palette disappeared...

No sorry, but you could turn on the auto save feature. That way if anything goes wrong (like everything crashes) then your work would have been saved already.

Sorry, me neither! The buttons GUI and the 3D window run as separate processes, so it sounds like the GUI process crashed. Has it done it again since?
