Hello Phil,

I installed the latest version and found an odd behavior, maybe a bug: when symmetry is on and you use the "s" key inside a shell to copy the uv to the symmetrical pair, it's not working as before, instead it uses the center of the tile as axis of symmetry. I cant explain it (due to my lack of English), but i prepared a little video showing this behavior.

Is this the way it's supposed to be now? or is it actually a bug?

Thanks in advance,

Orlando

Yes, that's not a bug, its a new feature. The thinking behind it is that if you have symmetry on and Pack the shells, then they will end up on opposite sides of the tile they're in. The S hotkey now does exactly the same thing as the packing.

Thanks Phil,

Maybe Im asking too much, but is there any chance to bring the old behavior back? Maybe a check box in the settings?

Althoug I find this very useful in the packing stage, not so when flattening the shells before even thinking in the packing. Honestly as I thought it was a bug, I found it very annoying... Maybe it's just a matter of getting used to it, maybe not Wink

Thanks again,

Orlando.

"Maybe Im asking too much"

No problems, I'll add it as a preference. Look for it in the next release.

Either later today or tomorrow I'll be uploading a new beta release (grab it from your uvlayout.com Support Extras page) that adds an Edit Preference for "OId Style S Key Copy".
