If you place the Headus-UVLayout application into a folder within the applications folder on your hard drive, UVLayout may not run at all.

Until I removed the application from the folder it wouldn't launch.

I tried running X11 first, still no woiky. So if you're experiencing launch problems, check to see that the app is laying loose within the applications folder.

I'm not sure I follow what you're saying. If I can understand what the problem was, I may be able to make a fix or some sort of check in the start-up procedure.

I dropped an OBJ file onto UVLayout and a dialogue box appeared indicating UVL is starting..., click OK.

Nothing happened. X11 didn't launch and neither did UVL.

I tried several more times and gave up. I then downloaded an earlier version, dragged it into the Applications folder and success! I was back in business.

So what changed?

For one thing, after becoming acquainted with the software, I downloaded some screen shots of your video-tutorial index and placed them into a folder inside the Applications folder. I put UVL and the User Guide in that folder as well.

That's when the problem began. For some reason, on my Mac anyway, when I put the UVL program into its own folder within the Applications folder, it stopped working properly.

So, instead of /User/Applications/headus-UVLayout-Hobby

I created /User/Applications/Headus UV Layout/headus-UVLayout-Hobby

After removing the file headus-UVLayout-Hobby to /User/Applications/headus-UVLayout-Hobby everything began working right as rain.

Now, I don't know if this problem only exists on my Mac or if UVL is particular about Directories but I can duplicate the problem again, and again.
