Tmp Save files - location?

I am a long time UVLayout user (2006 or 2007 I think) and have just experienced my first ever crash (this is a good thing and I find it amazing Very Happy

..anyway I have never used the Tmp save files 1,2,3,4,5 because of the crash thought I'd give it a go. I had a look in the docs but couldn't find where it actually saves these temporary files.. Anyone have any suggestions?

The tmp and "E" edit files should be saved into the same folder as the
currently loaded file.
