Let me apologize for taking up your time. But I have another problem. This is a section of a roof I am building. I downloaded one half of it into UV Layout. My problem is I cant cut the edges and upon download it turned up a blue color in the center portion of the roof.
thanks again for your help,

Polys are shaded blue on the inside in UVLayout.
Whats happening on your roof panel there is that the central poly has backwards vertex ordering; instead of clockwise, its counter-clockwise. The blue dashed edge around it is also an indication of this incorrect topology.
You can only fix this in your modeling application. There might be a tool to "Unify" normals, or even just display the normals, then select that face and flip the normal so its pointing outwards.
