Cats are interesting creatures. But, Murphy's Law reminds us that those furry felines and keyboards are opposing forces of the Universe, and brought together will surely bring forth the most chaotic chaos. Or something like that.
I have no idea what key(s) were pawed or walked on to produce this "view" in the UV View, but I can't seem to get rid of these black stars:
Help! Thanks so much! |

Ouch! The stars are anchor points, and Shift-A will normally remove them from the shell under the mouse pointer. Not sure how every point got like that though, along with some floating in space.
If Shift-A doesn't work, save the object as OBJ and reload it ... that'll strip out all of the UVLayout special information, which includes the anchor points.

Thank you so much for the quick reply!
If I select each shell and [Shift]A, it does clear these anchor points. Phew!
As for the extras, I noticed when I zoomed out in UV view, it took on the shape of the rest of the bird model I still hadn't cut/flattened over in the Editor view. It's a 8000+ poly model, so the cat's timing wasn't ideal to hit me with that halfway through, lol!
Thanks again!!! |

Very interesting ... your cat magically set all points (including unflattened one) to anchors! Anyway, if you want to get rid of the unflattened anchor points, you can drop those unflattened shells into the UV view, flatten them briefly with the F key, then use Shift-A to unset the anchors, then Shift-D to undrop them.

Hehe... you want a cat as a beta-tester for your next release?
I have seven... I think I can spare one for awhile. |

Seven cats and a dove up on the screen ... you're just asking for trouble :-)
