Hi Everyone!
First, just wanted to say UVlayout's been a great tool for us in production!
Just wondering about the possibility of adding 'lasso style' functionality when selecting edges, faces or verts? This was probably one of the best features of DeepUV as one could very quickly select parts of shells or entire shells which was super handy for stitching UVs together.
The other reason I ask about this is because it seems to be fairly difficult to tag edges polies when things are overlapping.
Cheers! |

No problems, I've added it to the list.
In the meantime, have you tried the G hotkey? Its not exactly a lasso, but if you hold down G then you can paint-select polys, then G-G can be used to fill-select an area. By default the G paint selects only the poly under the mouse pointer, but you can increase the select area with G-<N>, when <N> is one of the number keys. You can then grow and shrink the select region with G-'-' and G-'='.
G selected polys can then be detached with Enter, or moved around with the usual Space bar actions.

Forgot one more thing about the G select ... it works the same in all viewing modes (ie UV, Ed and 3D), and if you G mark polys in the 3D view they'll also be marked in the UV and Ed views.
