has anyone else gottent the blue screen of death when installing the hasp drivers...?

does anyone have any advice regarding this?

Thats the first I've heard of the BSOD during the driver install.

Which version of Windows are you running? If its XP or Vista, you should be able to restore the OS back to before you installed the driver, then try again. Also download the driver install again in case it got corrupted. You should also check the md5sum value of the downloaded file to make sure its intact.

its only on this one xp machine... I have the latest drivers, and re-downloded them to be sure... just odd.

I know we have a floating licence here, I have just been too busy to pester IT about getting me set up. I have just been using the demo for the moment.

OK, if you really really had to get the dongle working on that PC, I'd suggest a reinstall of Windows XP itself.

A much easier solution would be to get access to the floating licenses ... you have the Pro version of UVLayout installed already, right? So its just a matter then of setting the HEADUS_HLSERVER environment variable to point to the server, and your local IT people are the ones to quiz about that info.
