Ok, I got a bug with the procedure I wrote in the title.
If I do a local scale on a shell, than I undrop my shell, and I Redrop it to reflatten it, It can't layout it properly, the shell is always blue and try to search the best layout without getting it.  |

Oops, bug confirmed! I'll have it fixed by the next release.
In the meantime you can work-around the problem by saving your mesh out to a UVL file (e.g. use one of the Tmp buttons), load that file back in, then the affected shells will flatten out correctly.

Update: Bug has been found and corrected, so the fix will be in the next release. |
