After searching the forums and looking at examples people submitted about how to unwrap a head to have it as one mesh, I still cant get the same results as everyone else. What am I missing? I dont want to download all the videos, does someone know which one might have a good example of what Im trying to achieve? Any suggestions?
Thanks.

My guess is that you're missing the split step. After marking those cut edges, type Shift-S ... that breaks open those marked edges to create a physical gap, then drop the head and use Shift-F to "bloat". The split and bloat is covered in the UVLayout-Beta-v1.13 movie.

Hi Roger, nice to see you around these forums. Are you using UVLayout in conjunction with Silo or another app? I hope at some point someone clever creates a script for silo similar to the one for maya, as it's great to quickly send a mesh to and from UVLayout rather than manually saving 2 intermediate obj transfer files. Maybe the mighty Janimatic would get on the case if someone politely emailed him. |

Hey cheers mate, I just ordered my Dongle. I've noticed a few silo heads floating about, I guess UVLayout is like the silo of the unwrapping world. What i've been doing is a simple unrwap in silo and using UVL to perfect it. |
