|
|
Hello All,
The UVLayout Beta v1.19 is now available from ...
http://www.uvlayout.com/try/
New features added in this version:
- 4/5 hotkeys : used to pull UVs in or push them away from
the brush. Better at fixing up problem areas than the R and X
relax brushes.
- EPS export added to the Pattern panel. Choose the Outline option
if you only want the shell boundaries exported, which gives you
a single profile line for cutting out shapes.
See the v1.19 video on the download page for a demo of the 4/5
hotkeys. If you have a license already, just grab and install the software.
If you don't have a license, please fill in the form on the download
page to get your 30day temp license.
Phil

Hello All,
UVLayout Beta v1.19.1, for Windows, is now available from the usual spot.
Linux user will get these changes sometime next week when I upload v1.19.2.
This version changes a few things:
- Fixed permissions problems with keys install under Windows
Vista, and now seems to be more stable. Tested under Windows
Vista Home Premium.
- When using the Symmetry Find tool, unmatched polys are now
shaded yellow to make them easier to find.
- 3D view was initially blank if a mesh with no UVS was loaded with
"Edit" selected.

Hello All,
UVLayout Beta v1.19.2 is now available from the usual spot.
This version changes a few things:
- The Symmetry Find tool can now be used on detached pieces
of mesh, such as shoes, and on already flattened meshes.
- Adds another way to use the 4 and 5 hotkeys, allowing for direct
pulling-in and pushing-out of UVs. The new 6 hotkey can also be
used to smooth UVs.
See the v1.19.2 video on the beta download page for more details.

Awesome! Thanks for including that, I do a lot of mechanical things that have identical parts mirrored across the object, but actually separate in the model. This will come in EXTREMELY handy! |

Hello All,
UVLayout Beta v1.19.3 is now available from the usual spot.
This version changes a few things:
- New "Green Balance" button added to Move/Scale/Rotate tools.
Used when you want to edit different parts of the mesh so they
have varying texture resolutions, for example, making the head
twice the area of the rest of the body to get more detail in
the face.
- Shift-MMB brush can now be used from outside a shell, allowing
UVs to be push in from the boundary.
See the v1.19.3 video on the beta download page for more details.

I really love how UVLayout gives you perfect pixel density. It's something that's hard to achieve manually (For me at least. ).
With that said, there are times where I want to increase the resolution for higher detailed areas. |
