|
|
Any idea why AVG would be going absolutely psycho on every version of the UVLayout installers I have on my machine and forbidding me from downloading them again all of a sudden? It's claiming they all have a Trojan Horse Back Door.Generic5.TFH and deleted them with extreme prejudice before I got up this morning.
Help? |

Yikes, that doesn't sound good. The Windows installers are built on system thats clean as far as McAfee is concerned, plus I'm behind a firewall, so I'm pretty confident theres nothing bad in what I uploaded. I'll download whats now on the site to see if its the same as what I uploaded ...

Hmmm, well the files on the site are all unmodified as far as I can tell ... they all match the versions I have here. All I can think its a case of mistaken identity. I'll grab the AVG free version to try it out here ...

I can tell ya, evil weird. I deleted all the exe it said were infected, rebooted and use IE instead of firefox to redownload and didn't have a problem but that was seriously weird. Bet it was mistaken identity or something... One of my security tools has it in for the primatives.vbs in XSI and given a chance will delete it when I'm not watching it like a hawk ;P |

Sounds like something got corrupted during the download maybe? You can use the md5sum.txt file on the uvlayout download page to check for file integrity ... do a web search for free Windows versions of md5sum.
