|
|
I'm not sure if this is a Headus problem, or a Maya one.
I've got a block, it has UV's.
I've made a dozen instances of it, and now if I try to pass it over to headus (either the original, or an instance) it tells me
"Problems loading - no geometry in file."
Is this a bug/problem....or something to do with the way maya handles instances?
This is the block isolated,
And this is the block in situ, and with the error headus returns.
I'm getting the same error with any geometry thats been instanced. I could see that 'instances' may have no geometry, but surely the 'original' piece should?
Using win7x64, Maya2013 x64 and Headus v2.08
Thank you |

Solved.
For anyone else who has this problem, copy the original piece, fix the UV's on the copy, then transfer the map from the copy to the original via transfer attributes - this will fix all instances. |

Have you tried using the Maya plugin? I'm not sure if it handles instanced geometry any better, but it might.
