I'm UV my hard edge object, and it's a task, because of it's size, UV Layout makes it faster although, it probably will take me up to two - three days to complete the UV's, less time if I were to go 24hrs straight Smile

My question is, how can I grow selection ? I'm using the "G" key and growing the selection would speed things up a little.

"I'm UV my hard edge object"

Do you have the Pro version? The Segment tool can be really handy for hard edged geometry. Its not perfect, but can give you a good starting point for hand tweaking.

"how can I grow selection"

Aim the mouse pointer at empty space and type G to bring up the marking menu; you'll see the grow selection option in there.

I have the Pro version, I still have to merge the segments, that are created with the tool, maybe it will speed up the welding, I'll give it a try on the second part of the object, which is the final part, this first object I'll finish how I'm doing it, although I'm looking at a total of probably 8 hrs to complete in total at this point.

Flatten or Bloat both don't solve my 96 overlaps issues, I'm trying to get the results from the segment tool to blend with what I've been working on for the past 3.5 hrs, and I can't eliminate the overlap issues, if I could remove the over lap I could finish this faster.
