Hi Phil,
I've tried searching for this issue in the forum but no luck - Sorry if this issue was already posted.
I'm running Maya 2011 on windows 7 32bit. I've followed your instructions on how to install the plugins, in the open.mel - I've also edited the demo version to the pro. When using the buttons in the maya, the Info comes up but all the others don't. Here's what I get:
Run: // Error: uvlayout: Couldn't find home folder 'C:/Program Files/headus UVLayout v2 Demo'! Check definition in uvlayout_open.mel
Send: (object selected in maya) I hit send but nothing comes up even errors. - Same with the Stop button.
From the open.mel script this is how what I have edited:
Code: | //return "C:/Program Files/headus UVLayout v2 Demo";
// return "C:/Program Files/headus UVLayout v2 Hobbyist";
return "C:/Program Files/headus UVLayout v2 Professional";
// return "C:/Program Files (x86)/headus UVLayout v2 Demo";
// return "C:/Program Files (x86)/headus UVLayout v2 Hobbyist";
// return "C:/Program Files (x86)/headus UVLayout v2 Professional";
|
** I copied the entire "headus UVLayout v2 Professional" folder and renamed it "headus UVLayout v2 Demo" - Doing this seemed to work or load the buttons but as you can imagine the functions weren't working.
Please let me know what I'm doing wrong.
Thanks |

Could it be that Maya is loading up a different uvlayout_open.mel script, from a different location? You've edited it as you should (i.e. uncommented the "Professional" line) but Maya is still looking for it in the Demo folder, that's what makes me think its not loading the one you've edited.
Do a search for other copies of uvlayout_open.mel in case you've got another in a folder that is over-riding the one you're editing.
Oh, and one other thought ... did you quit Maya and restart it after making the changes to the script?
