|

Hi.
I bought UV Layout Pro in September of 2009 and I currently have the most recent version - 2.06.03. At least I think that's the latest version. I also have some versions that are 2.06.03a - 2.06.03e, which IIRC are betas of 2.06.03.
Anyway, I'm wondering what do I do about the subscription? Reading the FAQ it seems that to renew would have been $50 US, but was that offer for just before it expired or shortly after?
Or is it just 50 bucks to renew at any time?
And would renewing allow me to get the next version, presumably 2.07 or would that be a whole new charge?
Obviously I still have the dongle, but I don't want to get left out of newer releases and am hoping I don't have to pay the full 300 bucks again.
Just wondering what's up. |

Yep, for individuals with a single Pro or Hobbyist license. Its more for companies with multiple licenses.
You can renew the subscription from your uvlayout.com Support Details page; if its expired or about to run out, there will be a payment link down the bottom of that page.
Renewing your subscription allows you to download the latest releases, whenever they're made, for the next 12 months. The current version is still 2.06.03, but there's a 2.06.04 beta available from the Support Extras page which I'm really hoping to release "officially" before the end of the year. It adds multiple window panes ...

Oh hiya Phil and thanks for the reply.
Yeah I guess I should have read all that before posting. It hadn't occurred to me to try to log in to my account since it was expired, but I checked it out and it says as you say.
So am I to understand that from here on out, $50 USD per year will get me access to all future builds of UVLayout? Meaning even after it's moved on to the next major version, like 3.0 and so forth?
That's a really good deal. You should teach that one to Autodesk.
2.06.04 looks cool, and I want to resubscribe soon as I can. |

Hmmm, good question. I haven't decided on that one yet. There may be an additional small upgrade fee, but the jump to v3 wont be any time soon.

Oops, now I got you thinking about raising your prices. If you do, just don't tell anyone I gave you the idea. |
