I've juust downloaded the demo of UVLayout (love the program) and flattened a simple piece of geometry, i now want to take this UVed mesh back into max but cant seem to work out how. Please help  |

Click on Save, then type in a filename with an ".obj" file extension. You can then import that back into Max.
Alternatively, click on "Update" and select the file you original loaded into UVLayout ... a copy of that file will be created with only the UVs modified, and this method preserves things like surface normals and materials.
And finally, have a look at the Max plugin here ...

It saves you the hassle of having to save and load OBJ files by hand; the plugin handles all of that for you.
