I can't seem to get my model into edit view. The edit view mode button is also greyed out.I imported an obj from maya and it has green lines on it in certain areas. I don't know what this means. Any info would be great thanks. |

By default UVLayout runs with "Edit" selected in the load options. This means that you want to keep the existing UVs, and so the Edit button is greyed out because there are no unflattened polys.
If you select "New" in the load options then all existing UVs are thrown away, and you'll be able to cut the object up in the Edit view and flatten the pieces to create new UVs.
