Hi,
I 'am new to this program. I exported a building existing of several objects as a obj-file out of 3D studio max en loaded it into uv-layout. Now I want to edit the several objects into uv-layout
but they behave as one object. How can I edit every object alone of this building in uv lay-out?
Thanks.

UVLayout treats all imported OBJ files as just a whole lot of polygons. If you have any material/shading/object groups already defined, these are just ignored. It should be doing its own segmentation though ... groups of unconnected polys will be treated as separate objects, for example, the wheels of a car will be separate from the body; you'll be able to move them away from the other objects with Space-MMB in the Ed view.
If you haven't already, watch some of the videos here ...

If you see something happening in the video and cant work out how it was done, look at the ticker type window at the top. It shows what mouse and keyboard buttons are being pressed while the action is happening. For the object move, you'll see "Space" in green, and the middle of the three bars to the left (the mouse buttons) highlighted in green also, which means both are pressed at the same time.
