|
|
ZBrush won't play nice with inverted or overlapping face projections, and 3ds Max has tools that will highlight these types of anomalies in your UV layout. Does Headus have something for this? I'm currently bringing my Headus layout into Max and using the tools there to do a quality check before I import to ZBrush. Thanks.
Sorry if this has been asked before. I did a search. |

Down the bottom of the Optimize panel is the "Overlap" tool, currently available only in the Pro version.
Quote: | Overlap
Click the Overlap button to search for overlapping UVs. Click on the + button to run the same check with greater precision (it'll find the smallest of overlaps) but this will take up to 10 times as long to complete. You might run the overlap check after an optimize, and possibly a repack, to confirm that all shells have flattened out completely. A window will pop up telling you how many overlaps have been found, and you can cycle between these with the blue left and right arrow buttons. Each overlapping area is highlighted with a yellow filled red outline, but you can turn this off with the Off button. |
