Hi Phil,
Since every today computers are multicore, I'm just wondering if you have any plan to update uvlayout to take advantage of this technology ?
I'm asking this because thanks to the segment option, I'm starting to use uvlayout to do some 'global-draft' unwarping job, I mean unwarping some complex archi/meca scene in one shot and even if the result worths the wait, it can be quite long.
I know uvlayout was not design for this kind of job, but some speed improvements would be so welcome.

I'm not currently working on it, but every now and then (when I'm waiting for an optimize to finish) I do start to think it would be a good idea :-)
About how long are you waiting for the result? If you can, try splitting the scene in half. If you load and segment each half separately, you'll find that the total time will be less.
