No, this is not an Adult Friendfinder spam...
So, now and then there are these annoying places where the mesh kinks up and mo amount of flattening will make it stop.
There's a hotkey listed in the docs that says:
K : Toggle kink point
So I tried it... all it seems to do is add a black dot which is summarily ignored.
Nothing else in the documentation references 'kink' and a search of this whole forum doesn't turn up 'kink' either (until now, of course, which will bring up this message as soon as I post it).
I'm thinking there has to be some way to mark these problem areas so it will avoid kinking up there, right? |

"Kink" points are part of the Shift-I and Shift-K edge straightening tool, so they wont help you here.
Try using the webbing. If you use T on those few edges, it'll keep them in the same shape (i.e. not kinked) as they are in 3D.
