Hi there,

I just discovered your software and was happy to find a UV-solution that seems to support the Mac.

So I tried to load the trial-version you offer (thank you)

Unfortunately it does not work, neither on my MacBook (OSX 10.5.5) nor on my MacPro (OSX 10.5.6)

That´s a pity. Any help for me?

Thanks and greetings from Germany,

Stephan

Are any error message being displayed? We recently updated our development build machine, so something might be missing from the install files still.

Hi Phil,

thanks for your reply.

The error message I receive is the »an unexpected error has occured« (I hope I translated this correct from german to english)

Since your server seems to be stressed this morning (yes, here is a fine sunny mornig!), I cannot try again.

I will try again and give you feedback.

Thanks a lot,

Stephan

UV Layout seems a very helpful tool - is it possible to buy it on another way, cause I don´t have any credit card?

Thanks!

This is the critical info ...

Library not loaded: /opt/local/lib/libXt.6.dylib

Actually, I've just repartitioned my one OS X system so I can load a totally clean OS (i.e. one not loaded with additional development resources). That's nearly complete, and then hopefully I install the Demo and get the same errors.

Fixed I think! The new Demo installer has been uploaded, and it ran OK on a totally clean out-of-the-box install of OS X 10.5 Leopard.

By the way, another part of your error message suggests you might be trying to run UVLayout from inside the DMG file. You need to drag'n'drop the UVLayout package into the Applications folder link, and then run it from your Applications folder.

Hi Phil,

it works, prima!

It seems, there is another little bug: when I try to navigate for saving, the save-window freezes, if I go to another level of my hard disk.

Thanks and have a good time,

Stephan

" the save-window freezes "

I've seen it do that when trying to access a networked folder that's no longer online. Eventually (after a minute) it should give up and unfreeze. Does this sound like your situation?

Hi Phil,

not really, it does´nt give up after a minute, it keeps on freezing. The program does not really crash, because I can quit it on the normal way, but the frozen window does´nt disappear.

If it helps: it seems, that the freezing appears, if I click in the free space beneath a directory description, for example: my upmost directory is only a slash »/«.

If I click right in the slash, everything is o.k., but if I click the space right near the slash, but do not hit it, the window freezes.

Hope it will help you,

Greetings,

Stephan

Hi Phil,

when will be »tomorrow«?

Greetings, Stephan

P.S.: Don´t take that too serious Smile I know, that programming sometimes drives you crazy.

But I would like to buy a version, and it should run in a good manner.

Sorry, bigger fires erupted that needed putting out first :-) Are you per chance running UVLayout under OS X 10.6? That's where I saw the freezing up thing happening here, but it seemed to work fine under 10.5.
