I have split a part into several pieces. When I try to drop two of them into the uv space, I get the pieces are not detached message. How do I detach them and drop them into the uv space?

I forgot to mention that the enter key does not split anything for me. Only shift s splits for me.

"I get the pieces are not detached message"

I think I fixed that not too long ago. The latest Pro version already has the fix, but the Hobbyist's will get it next week sometime when I do the next update.

In the meantime, try using double-G to fill the shell, then hit Enter on it. You should then be able to drop it.

The first one dropped right down after gg and enter. The second took about a dozen tries.

Do you send out notifications when an update is ready to download?

I accidently clicked on the x and closed the window when I meant to minimize it to the tray. Is there any way to get it back so I do not have to start over again?

"Do you send out notifications when an update is ready to download?"

I post messages here ...

http://www.headus.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=192

... for the major updates (eg 2.03 to 2.04), and then in a separate thread for minor updates (eg from 2.04.00 to 2.04.01). If you click on the "watch this post" link down the bottom of the page, you'll get email.

"I accidently clicked on the x ... Is there any way to get it back "

No sorry, its gone! Actually, I thought I had it at least asking if you really wanted to kill the window, but now that I check it only does that for the GUI window, not the 3D one.

I'll have a look at that definitely for the next release.

"I get the pieces are not detached message"

FYI, I just came across this situation in the latest pro version today.

This work around worked me around it, though.

Hmmm, that's a bit of a worry. OK, thanks for the report, and I'll recheck the current code to see if I missed something.
