I don't know what is going on but after cutting and flattening my object, when I save it, and load it in another program to assign materials, it won't load the object. It say's the object has no facet information. I don't know what I may be doing differently than before as I have never had this problem before. I am using the latest version of uv layout. any idea what I may or may not be doing correctly? Thanks |

Instead of using "Save", try the "Update" button. You select the original OBJ (the one you first loaded into UVLayout) and it creates a copy of that with all the existing materials and normals, and only changes the UVs.

I had tried the update button and that didn't work either. So I just exported the saved mesh again from the program I created it in, and took that one into UV and it worked fine. Thanks |
