Hi there,

Since yesterday, when any user tries to open UVLayout from Maya 8.5, after a looong wait this error message appears (check attached image).

We haven't made any change. We're using floating EthID license with version 2.02 Any light here?

Thanks

Cadu

"cyeatP" is the 3D window ... its run as a separate process. If it was a licensing problem, the GUI wouldn't have run, so I don't think its that. I'd suspect a corrupted installation, so a re-install of UVLayout would be worth trying.

Do you get the same error if UVLayout is run outside of Maya?

Hello Phil,

I just can't explain but as suddenly as the error started it stopped.

Just one coincidence: the problem started exactly when our maintenance contract expired. And the software started to work again at the same day that we signed a new maintenance. I just hope that this is just a bizarre coincidence.

Anyway, thanks for your help.

Total coincidence! There isn't a secret link between the support database and your floating licenses. In fact, strictly speaking, your maintenance expired back in March (12 months after purchase), but I only just got the support renewal system up and running.

Anyway, its great to hear it fixed itself. That one was in the "I have no idea why its not working" box.
