Hello,

Here's a little bug I want to report :

Ok here's the stupid object

I split the front part using the G command, then ENTER

THen I select this edge loop, to cut the body part in 2 pieces,
I'm using the SHIFT S command.

Visualy, the model seems to be splited, but it's still physically attached when I want to move a part of it.

If I use the ENTER key instead the SHIFT S command, the object is correctly splitted !

Hope the description is clear enough Smile

Little update,

Even if I can't move the 2 parts in the edit view, I can drop (D) the 2 pieces one by one in the uv edit view ... and the flattening process works perfecly. However if I drop the complete objet at once (D + draging the selection rectangle over everything) ->

Well it's a mess ->

Thank you for reporting the split bug! Its quite a basic one, and I'm amazed it hasn't turned up before, but I can easily duplicate it here.

I shall fix that for the next release, but in the meantime you can use Enter instead. It can now be used to both split and detach, and in fact Shift-S for splitting is no longer required.

As for the flattening mess you see there, I'm not sure how that's happened. I suggest using Enter for the split and see how you go after that.

Thanks for the update! What I'll probably do is remove the old Shift-S function (which is obviously buggy), and will just remap it to do exactly what Enter now does.
