|
|
Okay so I have been using Trial for a bit untill i can get a student licsence. I have been working on a character for a project for a while and my friend offered to let me use his PC to use his Pro version to get some edges and seam lines straightened out. And then i hit a big snag.
In the trial version Split worked fine on the Dress i am UV mapping.
Now when i got to his place to start UV mapping the split tool only works on the top half where there is no back facing. (the bottom half is 1 poly thichk since you can see through the split of the dress) all it says is no split found.
I popped the file back into trial and it worked without a hitch. any help would be great.
It is an export from Zbrush, i also brought it back into max and saved it out from there but still had the same problem. |

Okay never mind i guess i finally figured it out. It seems that in Trial it doesn't care if things are solid to split them. But in Pro it does matter. So i just enter detached the lower inside of the dress and then split worked fine. |

Your friend should install the latest version, available from the uvlayout.com Support Download page. The new split ability that you see in the Trail version has was added to the Pro version with the release of v2.01.03 (its now up to 2.03.00).
