Hi
I was get a character mesh to UV map. But I cant load it into UVL yet.
First I was spend couple of hours in tracking and deleting bunch of odd faces on 70K mesh.
Now I have another prob., I cant load whole mesh in UVL. I was try in parts and its working. But I need whole model in so I can pelt map it.
Here is just one piece of jaw, are those blue lines cutting the mesh in too many pieces.
Please tell me if there is any workaround this.
Thank you

The blue lines indicate where there's a seam in the geometry. Currently there's no tool within UVLayout to edit the geometry, so you'll need to do the welding of adjacent geometry vertexes within your modeling application before saving out the OBJ.
Other than that, try turning on the "Clean" option in the UVLayout Load Options window. This wont fix the blue seams, but it may help clean out other topology problems.

Thank you Phil for reply
I was try to optimize (merge) points in C4D, but vert count was the same after that. I was try the clean on load, number of time and always the same error.
After all I was manage to load body without claws, teeth`s and jaw
I was became addicted to UVL, so any other app like BP is only helper now lol.
It would be awesome if you can add relax algorithms like in BP. That is only reason why I go there to get final touch.

If you want, email me an OBJ of one of your problem claws and I'll take look at it. I might be able to fix the "Clean" tool so it works with all of your mesh.
And as far as relaxing goes, I've never used Body Paint so don't know what it does, but the 6 hotkey can be used to smooth out UVs within a circular brush radius. I use it myself normally, because it increases distortion, but it might be what you mean by "relax".

Relax in BP is just like in Max, Maya and other apps. I like it because it have two modes, one will as you say distort the mesh but will fix any possible overlaps and will get nice even texture. Other mode is working internal so to say, it moves the UVs inside boundaries and try to get them even.
Thanks for the tip about smooth, will use it for sure
Well I learn something new about UVL every day and I love it
