|

When I am done laying out the UVs, what do I save the file as? Because when I go through the process of exporting to maya, the OBJ that I saved does not have anything done to it, no flattening. When I try saving as a UVL file and send it to Maya, it also does nothing. I am out of ideas, can anyone please help? |

Saving the file as OBJ (eg fish.obj) is definitely what you want to do to get the UVs back into Maya. UVLayout doesn't actually flatten the geometry though ... the object back in Maya will be the original shape, but with the new UVs.
