|
|
Im fairly new to this program, which i must say is very impressive. And for sure speed up UV layout work.
However being the noob i am, i have a problem with the straighten edge marking, to explain it very shortly, how do you remove the markings again? I have tried dbl-ss and shift-s the edge and removed the purple dot markings, but the green dots are still there.
Furthermore is there a way to completely reset what you have done on a particular part?
Thanks |

" but the green dots are still there."
They're pinned points. Aim the mouse pointer at one of them and type Shift-P to unpin that point and all adjacent boundary points.
"a way to completely reset"
Reload the OBJ file? Other than that, I guess holding down Ctrl-Z to undo everything should work, but only if you haven't filled the undo buffer.

Shift-p did the trick. thanks
Regarding the resting, i have been reloading the OBJ files so far. However what i mean with a complete reset of a particular part is.
Assuming that you have a human, and you have UV'd the arms and are satisfied with them, and then something with the legs goes wrong, or didnt end up as you expected. Maybe the place you split them, werent the best. and would like to split along another edge. Then you would have to reload the figure and redo the arms? or is it possible to reset just the legs and then redo them? |

Hi, I think what you are after is to " undrop " the shell back to edit space.
In the UV view place the mouse pointer over the shell and press " Shift-D " and it will return to the shell to " Edit " view where you can start again. |

Ahhh, got it ... yes, Shift-D undrop is what you want to reset a shell. To move a seam you could also "C" cut the new seam then "W" weld up the old one.
