|
|
I did a search and went through the threads but didn't see an answer to this (if there's already a thread please point me to it
Basically, I want to UV with symmetry on, but to save texture space, I need to cut the object in half along the symmetry line, flip one side, and snap it directly underneath the other to use the same texture (mirrored, obviously). To avoid this in the past I usually only UV half of my model in Headus, then mirror the geometry in an external program, but in this case I can't do that because I cannot change the vert order.
Again, I can flip and snap UVs in another program, but it's pretty tedious and i'm just wondering if there's an already built in headus solution~
I'm attaching a picture...probably won't help, but just in case. |

think you want to check 'About UVLayout'->'View User Guide'->'Snap/Stack'->'Stack'
Also, when in UVEdit view ('1' key) you can flip shells horizontally (arrow key left or
right) and vertically (arrow key up or down).
Hope it helps.
