When I loaded up my import into uv layout, it gave a message to clean and weld at load up, and when I tried that it stoped responding. I did a clean up in maya, and exported, and imported the obj. The model had areas that had unmerged vertexes, and I could not cut the unmerged vertex, and only could select d key. I had alot of individual poly's in the uv area of uv layout. In maya when clean up happens it may unmerge vertexes, and uv layout would not import all vertexes that are merged. Is there any way to weld unmerged edges in uv layout? I'll ask my teacher Monday about this. |

Unfortunately not in the current version. I'm not that familiar with Maya, but I think it does have a number if tools for mesh clean-up, including vertex/edge merging.
