hey i have a problem with the optimize mode

I am running dual monitors on NVIDIA GeForce 7300 LE. When i go to optimize it comes up blank. I can view it in 3d mode just cant see the uvs.

any help?

Is that running under nVidia "Dual" mode?

Do the UVs disappear when the graphics window is on either of the displays, or is it just one thats affected?

Is it only after "Optimize" that the UVs disappear, or have you seen it at other times? If you "Pack" after the optimize, then use the Home key to reset the view, do they come back?

yes running in dual mode also tried the horizontal mode from reading the other threads

it does it for both sides.

and i havent seen any uv when i click optimize period and and no to the last question.

to add i had the student version from gdc about 2 years ago and it had the same problem but i updated the graphics card and it ran fine.I just updated to the hobbyist and it has the same problem so I just downloaded the latest driver from nvidia and i have the same optimize problem i had with the student version. if that helps

Sorry, more questions :-)

Is it doing this on just the one mesh, or any object? If you load the sample torus (double click the UVLayout desktop icon, then click on "Test" in the licensing GUI) do the UVs disappear after Optimize as well?

any mesh isnt working. except i can see the torus one perfect on both screens

Ahhh, interesting ... are you able to email me one of your OBJ files? There could be something about your geometry thats causing the problem, because if the torus is showing up, then it means the graphics are working fine.

i got it to work exported with quads thanks for the help though phil

So your objects were all triangles, or something else? I'd still love to see one of those OBJ's, because it does sound like a bug that needs fixing.
