So I updated to the newest version from v1.19 mostly because the new features and since I had to redo the UVs on a model (that were already laid out in v1.19 mind you) that I'm working on at the moment. Why I had to redo the UVs you ask? Well, I had to update from ZBrush 3.0 to 3.1 to use the mapping tool and once I did that the fixed UV model would not import properly...so I decided to redo it (I need the practice anyway) and with a shiny new version of UVlayout to boot...imagine my frustration when all I get are crashes and application core errors when using the new version.
Doesn't really matter what I do in the program, nothing in particular seems to cause it, but seems to happen most when toggling between 3D and UV views. I looked at the license file as you suggested in other posts as this seems to be a very common occurrence. I've tried everything I can think of, read many posts/threads, and nothing works. After about 3 hours of getting nowhere with this...well, here I am.
BTW, I have to say that using UVlayout, when working properly, makes laying out UVs a pleasure.

Hey Phil,
That was the post I was referring to, and I looked at the license file many times and tried taking out lines, linking lines in a single string, everything I could think of and nothing worked. |
